Tripura Power Minister stresses the importance of quality education
AGARTALA: Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath stressed the importance of quality education for fostering a corruption-free society highlighting the state government's commitment to enhancing the education system. He was speaking at the inauguration of the newly constructed Madhu Chowdhury Para XII School in Mohanpur and also virtual inaugurations of several other schools Saturday.
The Minister stated that the vision of "Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura" and "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" requires significant changes in education facilitated by collaboration between state and central governments.
He noted that the future of the nation depends on the current students, who must become self-reliant. Since 2018, there has been a remarkable transformation in the educational landscape with the establishment of 180 pre-primary schools, 12 Vidyajyoti schools, the introduction of vocational courses in 478 schools, and an increase in English-medium schools from 111 to 422.
The government has initiated various health programmes including super-speciality services at GBP Hospital and the establishment of a government dental college, underscoring a comprehensive approach to development that includes tribal advancement for true progress.
