Congress slams govt for withdrawing free health care

AGARTALA, September 8, 2019: Main opposition Congress on Sunday slammed BJP-IPFT coalition government in Tripura for withdrawing free health service. The government recently imposed fees in every sphere of medical facilities and pathological tests.

However people living below the poverty line will continue to get benefit of free treatment.

Congress leaders Subal Bhowmik and Pijush Biswas addressed a press conference alleged that imposition of fees has been unprecedented in the state. They said people under duress step into government health facilities and the action has come has a sever jolt to all sections of people.

The party demanded withdrawal of the decision in public interest.
