TIPRA selects Bijoy Hrangkhawl as state President

AGARTALA, June 11 2021: Veteran politician Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl will now lead the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance or TIPRA which has recently voted to power in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).Hrangkhawl was a long time President of the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) which has recently merged with the TIPRA.
TIPRA Chairman Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Debbarman announced the appointment Friday. He said with merger of INPT and some other regional parties they will from now on will work on specific objectives like Greater Tipraland, scraping of CAA and implementation of NRC.
He further said that the incumbent authority in the TTAADC would release a white paper on June 24 to highlight failures of the erstwhile CPI(M) led left front regime.
He also informed that a senior BJP leader Manohar Debbarma has joined TIPRA. On organisation issue he said the party would take up door-to-door campaign to propagate ideas of its Greater Tipraland plank.
