Kirta Vardhan Singh concludes 3-day visit in northeast India
He requested village leaders to help conserving biodiversity

REGIONAL, February 22, 2025: Union Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, and External Affairs Kirta Vardhan Singh visited Nagaland from February 19 to 22. During his three-day stay, he visited Chida Lake, a natural tourist site located in Khezakeno village.
He emphasised the importance of preserving and conserving biodiversity to the village leaders. He also visited Kapamodzu Peak, a popular tourist destination in Zhavame village, Phek district.
During his trip, he met with village council members and members of the Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC). The Union Minister commended the village authority for their efforts in maintaining and preserving the rich biodiversity of Kapamodzu Peak and all the forests in the state.
Accompanying the Union Minister were members of the District Administration, Police and officers and staff from the Forest Department Phek Division.
