Chief Minister Dr Saha opens the Tripura Literature Festival
Three-day festival to showcase renowned poets, playwrights and novelists

AGARTALA, February 21, 2025: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha opened the Tripura Literature Festival here Friday. Dr Saha in his speech stated that the state government is committed to enriching and promoting the culture, tradition and literature of Tripura.
The three-day festival will showcase renowned poets, playwrights and novelists from all various states. This festival is a part of the state government's ongoing efforts to celebrate and promote the rich culture, tradition and literature of Tripura.
It is being held in conjunction with Matribhasha Diwas, a day that commemorates the sacrifices made during the language movement in East Pakistan, now Bangladesh. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests such as Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, Padma Shri Dr Ravi Kanan, Padma Shri Gokul Chandra Das and Rabindra Awardee Bikach Chowdhury.
Dr Saha commended the organisers for inviting such esteemed personalities and highlighted the state government's dedication towards enriching and promoting the culture and tradition of Tripura.
