Former MLA Animesh Debbarma joins TIPRA

AGARTALA, February 20 2021: Former MLA and senior tribal leader who has earlier resigned from the Indigenous Nationalist party of Twipra (INPT) has joined the Tipraha Indigenous People’s Regional Alliance (TIPRA) Saturday.
TIPRA has emerged as an umbrella organisation with most of indigenous parties either merging with it or forgoing an alliance ahead of elections to the TTAADC. Those who teamed up with the new party launched by royal scion Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Debbarman accepted latter’s Greater Tipraland ideology which is aimed at protecting and developing state’s indigenous people even those residing outside the state.
In another major political development INPT has also owe allegiance to the INPT.
