
AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha Wednesday visited areas in the south district affected by post-TTAADC election violence engaging with local residents to assess their circumstances. He pledged that the government would take all necessary measures to restore peace and order, and safeguard the well-being of those impacted by the violence.
He also visited Sepahijala district, where BJP supporters were targeted, resulting in damage to their homes and properties. The Chief Minister met with victims including Anil Kumar Debbarma, Suresh Debbarma, Khaken Debbarma and Jawaharlal Debbarma expressing his sympathy and acknowledging the challenging situation they face.
The state government had earleir announced financial assistance and security measures for the affected families. Over the past two days, Dr Saha has conducted multiple on-site visits to areas experiencing unrest.
Dr Saha reiterated his commitment to ensuring peace, security and justice for the victims of the violence.
