Fifth edition of Assam Rifles half marathon 2025 held

REGIONAL, December 14, 2025: The 5th Edition of the Assam Rifles Half Marathon 2025 was efficaciously held Sunday in Shillong promoting the "Fit India Movement". The event featured over 3,000 participants from 26 states and 2 Union Territories underscoring unity and national integration.
The marathon included three categories: 21 km (Cloud Chase), 10 km (Pine Path), and 5 km (Crystal Stream), with various dignitaries flagging off the runs. Winners received medals, certificates, and cash prizes totaling ₹20 lakhs. Notable performances included Sandeep Devrari winning the men's 21 km and Tamsi Singh winning the women's 21 km.
The event aims to foster fitness and wellness in the North East with increased participation compared to the previous year.
