Agartala ready to hold two day Investors Summit
Around 100 industry leaders are expected to attend

AGARTALA, December 07 2021: Tripura government to organise a two day long investors’ meet in Agartala on December 9 and 10. Around 100 industrialists are expected to attend the seminar.
Minister of Industry and Commerce Manoj Kanti Deb Tuesday spoke delivered details about the meet - first in several years. He said that incumbent government was keen to set up new industries in the state and for this reason the industrialists of the country were being invited to attend the seminar.
Although the state produces a lot of natural rubber, so far no rubber based industry has developed here. Tripura government has invited established rubber companies of the country to set up rubber based industries.
Besides, other industrial establishments have also been invited to come to the state and create new job opportunities. The Minister hoped that the discussions in the seminar would create scope for opening new industries in the state.
The state government is ready to provide necessary assistance and support to the interested entrepreneurs.
Other departments of the state government including agri-tourism and fisheries will also take part in the seminar, the minister said.
Minister Deb said the government is especially interested in investments in agar, tourism, higher education, information technology sector. The minister said that one industrialist has contacted the state to establish a film city in the state and requested the government to allot 250 acres of land for the purpose.
