AGARTALA, March 09, 2025: The main goal of the BJP is not just to grab power, but also to serve the people. This party works tirelessly for the welfare of the people, which is why they are repeatedly elected into power.
These are the words of JP Nadda, the national President of the BJP and the Union Health Minister who addressed a public meeting here Sunday to commemorate 2nd anniversary of incumbent BJP led coalition government in Tripura.
He also credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manik Saha for the success of the BJP government in the state. Nadda highlighted the various developmental works done by the BJP government in the past years and thanked the voters for electing BJP candidates in the 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Nadda argued that the BJP's focus on the welfare of the people is what sets them apart from the opposition parties. He also mentioned the success of the BJP in other states, such as Gujarat where they have been elected six times in a row, and stated that the BJP is a government for the poor and backward people.
He also spoke about the decrease in crime rate in Tripura under the current government and the modernisation of government offices through digitization. Nadda also addressed the issue of the Left and BJP's friendship, which was evident in the last elections, and how it has led to a change in the state.
He announced two new schemes of the state government - "Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana" and "Chief Minister's Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana" - aimed at empowering girls and providing them with opportunities for education and employment.
The rally was attended by state BJP president and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Minister Pranajit Singh Roy, and other party leaders, as well as a large number of people from different parts of the state.
Chief Minister Manik Saha also spoke about the progress made by the BJP government in Tripura and assured the people that they will continue to work for their welfare. He also highlighted the difference between the BJP and the Left and Congress, who he claimed only, played the "tape of deprivation" during their rule.
Saha mentioned the issue of corruption in job appointments during the Left regime and assured that the BJP government will ensure transparency in all their actions.
