NCM Chairman visits Sambhal, engages with local communities
He assured the Commission will take proactive steps to tackle challenges

NATIONAL, February 07, 2025: Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities Iqbal Singh Lalpura visited Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh Friday. He toured Shahi Masjid, which gained attention after an untoward incident on November 24, 2024 and spoke with local residents about the situation.
He met with people from various communities and discussed important issues like religious harmony, education, and community empowerment with local leaders from Sikh, Jain, Christian and Muslim groups.
The Chairman also held talks with district officials, addressing governance and minority rights. He emphasised the need for teamwork between the administration and community leaders to promote social harmony and inclusive development.
He assured that the Commission will take proactive steps to tackle challenges faced by minority communities and stressed the importance of dialogue for improving social harmony.
