AGARTALA, November 09, 2024: Tripura's Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has issued a warning against any attempts to incite unrest under the guise of religion stating that such actions will not be tolerated. He highlighted peaceful coexistence among all castes and religions in the state.

The Chief Minister made these remarks at a programme held at Netaji Subhash College in Udaipur, Gomati district Saturday. He also praised the current BJP led coalition government for allowing freedom of religious practices, which were previously restricted during the left front era.

Dr Saha attributed the previous 35-year communist rule in Tripura to creating an atheistic atmosphere. He further stated that his government has shown trust and respect for all religions.

The programme was also attended by state’s Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, several legislators and religious figures.
