US President Donald Trump reiterates he worked to end war

Different from India’s official position denying foreign involvement

GLOBAL, July 19, 2025: India has repeatedly asserted that it ended the conflict with Pakistan through established military channels in May. However, US President Donald Trump has continued to claim that he took the lead in drawing up the ceasefire.

He also mentioned downing five war jets during the combat, but did not specify which country lost them.

India has consistently denied any external involvement in ending the fighting. Both countries opened dialogue before the war situation escalated.

On Saturday, Trump once again claimed credit for ending the conflict at a White House reception stating that India and Pakistan had been engaged in a back-and-forth conflict. He emphasized that he would not make a trade deal if both countries were to use weapons, including nuclear weapons.
