Dhaka fighter jet crash: 5 victims identified through DNA analysis
At least 31 died, dozens injured in the deadly crash into a school

GLOBAL, July 24, 2025: Five severely burnt victims from the deadly fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka have been identified by forensic experts using DNA analysis Thursday. The incident, which left at least 31 dead, most of them schoolchildren, is the deadliest defence aviation disaster in Bangladesh's history.
The Criminal Investigation Department confirmed the identifications using DNA analysis.
Indian burn and plastic surgery specialists arrived in Dhaka to treat the victims. India has assured deployment of the more doctors and equipment on need basis.
Authorities had requested missing persons' families to provide DNA samples for forensic matching. The CID has now confirmed the identities of five of the six charred bodies that remained unidentified.
