Tripura’s Sumit Paul cracked his place in civil service

AGARTALA, May 25 2023: Sumit Paul, a meritorious dweller of Khowai district in Tripura, cleared the Civil Services Examination 2022 result of which was declared on May 23. The alumnus of the IIT Kharagpur sailed through his second try in the multi faced exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Paul Thursday made a courtesy call on to former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb at his official residence in New Delhi. Deb praised him for his success and said he has been an inspiration for those dream to become crack the UPSC exams.
UPSC’s Civil Services Examination is conducted annually in three stages – Prelims, Main and Interview (personality test) – to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other central services group A & B posts.
This year a total of 933 candidates recommended for appointment to thee cadre services after three stages of the selection process.
