Tripura Chief Minister stresses the importance of grassroots

“BJP's focus on ordinary people rather than ideological hierarchies”

AGARTALA, December 14, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha stressed the importance of grassroots leadership during the Pristha Pramukh conference in Mohanpur in West Tripura organised by the BJP. He criticised the CPI(M) communist Party for not genuinely supporting democracy and contrasted it with the BJP's focus on ordinary people rather than ideological hierarchies.

Dr Saha shared his own political journey within the BJP, highlighting a successful membership drive and condemning the previous violence in Tripura under Communist rule. He also stressed the importance of trust in leadership to strengthen the party citing endorsements from prominent BJP leaders such as JP Nadda, Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The event was attended by many prominent BJP figures including former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and saw participation from 1,120 booth-level leaders from 56 booths within the Mohanpur Assembly constituency in west Tripura, showcasing their critical role as the backbone of the party and their optimism for future electoral success.
