Tripura ranks 28 among central universities in India

AGARTALA, February 18, 2024: Not good news for Tripura University, which is the only central university in the state. Its ranking is 28 among the central universities in India.

The survey on central universities was conducted by the National Institutional Ranking Framework. Interestingly, it included six universities from northeast India. 

Of these, Mizoram University scored 13 and Sikkim University ranks 18. 

However, three universities from the region, Nagaland University (24), Manipur University (26) and Tripura University (28), could not find a place in the top 20. 

In another review, Tripura University was ranked 176th in India out of 876 universities by Edu rank.
