Unveiled foundation stone of a Trauma Centre at Dr BRAM Hospital

AGARTALA, August 28, 2025: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha spoke on the state government's persistent efforts to create a new Tripura ensuring the next generation doesn't face problems and providing access to almost every treatment within the state. He announced the construction of a playground at Tripura Medical College and unveiled foundation stone for a Trauma Centre at the teaching hospital.
He was speaking at the inauguration programme to commemorate the 20th Foundation Day of Tripura Medical College and Dr BRAM Teaching Hospital Wednesday. He also announced some development projects.
The event was attended by Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Chairman of the Society for Tripura Medical College, Dr Pramotesh Roy, CEO of the Society for Tripura Medical College and Dr BRAM Teaching Hospital Swapan Saha, Principal of Tripura Medical College and Hospital Professor Dr Arindam Dutta, Medical Superintendent Professor Dr Jayanta Poddar and other eminent physicians.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of skill development for everyone, including doctors, and urged more MBBS seats for TMC. He stressed the need to create awareness about the availability of treatment in Tripura and the importance of using AI, technology and the internet to think innovatively.
The key point of his address was the need to increase of MBBS seats for TMC to benefit many aspirants.
