Tripura: 35 people under watch at new quarantine facility

AGARTALA, March 23, 2020: 35 people have been kept under observation at a new quarantine facility opened at AD Nagar locality in Agartala. Dr Radha Debbarma, Director of Family Welfare and Preventive Medicines, informed that they have prepared a government hostel as a facility to keep people under quarantine for 14 days.
Dr Debbarma said they can accommodate 40 people there. Those under observation included an Italy returned Couple.
The isolation unit at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital has been closed.
She further said that no positive case was detected in the state so far. Paramedical staffs are conducting regular checks to detect coronavirus infected people at MBB Airport in Agartala, streets and motor stands across the state.
State government declared closure of all immigration check posts along border with Bangladesh while railway services were also put under suspension till March 31.
