AGARTALA, October 09, 2025: The Trinamool Congress Thursday filed a police complaint naming five BJP workers allegedly involved in the vandalism in its party office here Tuesday evening. A high-level delegation of the party comprising MPs and a Minister in the West Bengal government earlier met with the Director General of Police to demand action against perpetrators involved in the attack.
The incident occurred during a protest at the TMC office against a recent assault on two senior BJP leaders in West Bengal.
The delegation also presented a memorandum to the Governor through his Secretary regarding the attack. Kunal Ghosh, the All India Secretary of the TMC, expressed gratitude to the Governor while asserting that Trinamool Congress has evidence of previous attacks on its leaders, workers and offices.
Ghosh also criticised the BJP stating that the recent vandalism reflected the party's panic over Trinamool's presence in Tripura. He highlighted issues with the administration during their visit including a lack of transportation provided for their movement between locations.
