Biplab Kumar Deb visits Siliguri to meet injured party leaders

Said situation reflects a declining public trust in Mamata Banerjee

AGARTALA, October 07, 2025: Former Tripura Chief Minister and Co-Incharge of BJP for West Bengal Biplab Kumar Deb visited Siliguri Tuesday to check on the health condition of BJP MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh, both faced an attack by Trinamool-associated miscreants while assisting flood-affected people in North Bengal.

Deb said the situation reflects a declining public trust in Mamata Banerjee, who is accused of converting governance into a party-centred model and employing violence and intimidation as political tools.

"Her administration is criticized for an ongoing series of scandals and for allegedly oppressing democracy by unleashing miscreants aligned with the Trinamool party as the public's support wanes".
