Stuck Bangladeshi couple sent back home

AGARTALA, June 09 2021: A couple from Bangladesh was sent home Wednesday amid indefinite closure of immigration owing to Covid-19 protocol. Thanked to the personal initiative of Member of Parliament Pratima Bhowmik.
Karana Sindhu Choudhury took his wife to Chennai for her treatment of blood cancer. On his return journey via Agartala he was detected positive for coronavirus at the MBB Airport.
He was subsequently admitted in the posh ILS Hospital while wife was advised to stay in isolation. After being informed, MP Pratima Bhowmik arranged his admission in government GBP Hospital as the private hospital was charging beyond his capacity.
Karana Sindhu Choudhury recovered from the ailment. He and spouse now needed help to return home in Bangladesh.
This time too, Bhowmik came to their rescue and spoke to the officials of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission here. The couple ultimately returned home Wednesday.
Pratima Bhowmik shared whole gamut in social media. She expressed gratitude to the doctors, health care staffs and Bangladesh officials for their support to a hapless couple.
