Nand Kishore Yadav sworn in as the 23rd Governor
KOHIMA: Nand Kishore Yadav was sworn in as the 23rd Governor of Nagaland in a ceremony held at Dr Imkongliba Ao Hall, Lok Bhavan, Kohima Friday. The oath of office was administered by the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Justice Ashutosh Kumar, in the presence of Nagaland's Chief Minister, Dr Neiphiu Rio.
The ceremony was attended by members of the State Cabinet, legislators, senior government officials, representatives of various organizations and invited dignitaries. After the swearing-in ceremony, the Governor had an interaction with the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues.
Later, he addressed the people of the State, expressing his commitment to work for the welfare and progress of Nagaland and thanking them for the warm welcome.
