KOHIMA, January 27, 2020: The exhibition match between the organizers of Dr T Ao Trophy 2020 and Officials of Youth Resources & Sports was played at the Indira Gandhi Stadium today under the floodlight. In order to facilitate wide clarity and bring about latest technology to enhance the projection of the matches from semi finals onwards, two large screens LED display have been installed at the venue making it the first of its kind in the state to telecast the match.
The match patron K Kire former DGP Nagaland who was facilitated by the organizers met the players in the field before the match began.
The Dr T Ao Trophy 2020 organizing team defeated YRS Team by 3-2 goals. In the first half of the game, the first goal came from the boots of Mughato, football coach of jersey No 16 for YRS but shortly this was equalized by a header by Er Khreilie of jersey No 28.
In the second half, the organizers team played a very tactful and aggressive game earning them two consecutive goals through the boots of jersey No 22 Ranjan, tournament referee and jersey No. 10 Khekiho Shohe, convener of Media & Control Room. The YRS team reduced their goal tally by another goal score during extra time and injury time by jersey no 11 Menukholie, grounds man, Indira Gandhi Stadium.
For tomorrow’s semi-final matches, the viewers are requested to reach the venue and be seated by 1pm in order to ease traffic congestion during peak time.
The multimedia LED screens will be used to telecast match highlights, best goals and best saves of the tournament from 1pm on wards.
It may be stated that the match countdown starts by 12:30pm.
