Gruesome: Child raped, murdered in Tripura

AGARTALA, February 28 2021: A 6-year-old girl was murdered after rape in Khowai district Sunday. Police arrested a man who is suspected to have committed the gruesome crime.

The bizarre incident took place at Ishan Chandra Para in Duski Bazar under Teliamura police station. The girl went missing Saturday from a wedding ceremony in neighbourhood of her house Saturday.

Victim’s family found the girl dead in a forest location, not far from her house.

Police arrested 25-year-old Abhijit Tripura in case connection. He confessed to committing rape and murder, reports said.
