AGARTALA, October 02, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha spoke on importance of maintaining cleanliness in Tripura and urged people to avoid using single-use plastic. He commended the ongoing efforts to make the state plastic-free and acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives on protecting the environment.
Dr Saha Wednesday participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's 155th Birth Anniversary, stressing the need for cleanliness both physically and mentally. He also highlighted the social initiatives undertaken by the BJP in Tripura, specifically focusing on the birthdays of PM Modi, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Mahatma Gandhi.
Dr Saha shared that the BJP aims to reach 12 lakh members in Tripura, a significant increase from the 6.5 lakh members registered in 2019. He extended his wishes for Mahalaya and Durga Puja urging everyone to celebrate the festivals peacefully.
