Chief Minister unveils 28 rural projects worth Rs 42.46 crore
Said priority of the current government is all round development

AGARTALA, June 29, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has highlighted the priority of the current government in the development of education, health and communication systems. He underlined the significant improvement in the health system in Tripura with initiatives to strengthen district hospitals' infrastructure.
Dr Saha said this while inaugurating 28 projects worth Rs 42.46 crore and laying the foundation for 5 more projects in Ganganagar Sunday.
The Chief Minister also listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme, which he said showcases his ability to connect with the people and address important issues. He emphasised the importance of women's empowerment and physical fitness for everyone.
Dr Manik Saha has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various projects worth about Rs 674 crore in different parts of the state this year so far. He asserted that the BJP-led government's focus is on maintaining the continuity of development and delivering benefits of people-oriented projects to the last person.
The government is also working to improve education, health and communication systems meeting the Prime Minister's HIRA model resulting in tremendous progress in national highways, the internet, railways and airways.
Medical services are being improved in Tripura, with the number of MBBS seats in medical colleges increasing to 400 and dental college seats to 63. Plans are being made to increase the number of beds in GBP Hospital and strengthen district and sub-district hospitals and health centres to provide better medical services to patients, the Chief Minister said.
