Bangladesh: Health condition of Khaleda Zia remains unclear

Personal physician claimed she was responding to treatment positively

GLOBAL, December 10, 2025: The health condition of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, Chairperson of the BNP, remains unclear following her admission to a private hospital in Dhaka on November 23. Her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain claimed Wednesday that the octogenarian leader is still receiving treatment and is responding positively.

He asserted that Khaleda is under intensive care and urged the public to refrain from spreading rumours about her health.

Reports state that a medical board supported by international specialists from the UK, US, Australia and local experts is closely monitoring her situation.

The presence of Zia’s daughter-in-law, Zubaida Rahman, who flew in from the UK, has added to widespread rumours about Khaleda Zia's health condition.
