Ajay Kumar Bhalla to assume additional charge of Nagaland

REGIONAL, August 23, 2025: Nagaland Governor designate Ajay Kumar Bhalla landed at Dimapur airport Saturday. He was received by Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio and his ministerial colleagues. The Manipur Governor was given additional charge of Nagaland following the demise of Nagaland Governor La Ganesan.

Government officials headed by Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen were also present at Dimapur Airport to receive the Governor.

On his arrival, the Governor was honoured with a Rashtriya Salute (Guard of honour) from the 15th Mahila NAP (IR).
