16 new Covid-19 cases in Tripura, total 191

AGARTALA, May 23 2020: 16 new infections detected in Tripura Saturday. This raised the Covid-19 cases to 191.
The tally includes two who are attributed as migrated.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb Saturday informed that those infected are all residents of the state who have recently returned from Maharashtra. He said new patients are admitted in dedicated hospital adding that they are under proper medical care.
Tripura has now second highest number of Covid-19 cases in northeast India after Assam which has made a huge surge with 329 cases.
In Tripura 161 infections are that of BSF personnel and their family members. Most of them have been recovered and released from hospital.
Chief Minister appealed to people in general and travellers in particular to follow quarantine instructions and cooperate with the government.
