Valedictory session of Regional Vedic Conference held

LEMBUCHERRA (WEST TRIPURA): The Valedictory Session of the three-day long Regional Vedic Conference which was inaugurated February 17 concluded formally Thursday at the Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus.

Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with Vedic chanting and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Prof Makhlesh Kumar Upadhyay, Director, Central Sanskrit University, Agartala, delivered the welcome and introductory address.

Prof Awadesh Kr Chaubey, Former Professor and Head of the School (Darshan), Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, was present as a special dignitary. During the session, certificates were distributed to 62 participants. Dr Ashish Mishra, Organising Co-coordinator, presented the conference report.

In his address, the Governor appreciated the efforts made for the promotion and preservation of Vedic studies and encouraged the participants to carry forward the rich heritage of Indian knowledge traditions. 

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Prakash Ranjan Mishra, followed by the National Anthem.
