AGARTALA: Tipra Motha leaders and the party's newly elected members of the TTAADC held back-to-back meetings here Saturday to discuss formation of a new administration in the council. The leaders led by Pradyot Kishore Manikya also met the Governor to discuss issues relating to the new administration.
The regional party registered a stunning victory in the TTAADC from the results declared yesterday. The party won 24 seats out of a total of 28, dashing hopes of the BJP to start it innings in the tribal council.
Pradyot Maniky has not given indication over the formation of the new administration. Purna Mohan Jamatia, the outgoing chief executive member (CEM), is likely to continue in the position. Sources said there would be an additional CEM which is likely to be held by Rajeswar Debbarma, a close aide of Pradyot Manikya.
There would also be some changes in the executive member (EM) level, sources added.
