Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society's 4th Foundation Day

AGARTALA: The Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society (MMCWS) proudly celebrated its 4th Foundation Day in Agartala commemorating four years of unwavering commitment to supporting cancer patients and spreading awareness across Tripura.

The programme was graced by several distinguished guests and eminent personalities, including:

• Sanjib Das, Deputy Drug Controller & Member Secretary, Government of Tripura
• Joydip Nath, Assistant Secretary, All Tripura Hotels & Restaurants Owners Association
• Chandan Sarkar, Social Worker, Advisor, MMCWS.
• Manjari Bhattacharjee, Founding Mother, MMCWS
• Mihir Bhattacharjee, Founding Father, MMCWS

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address and a detailed presentation highlighting the Society’s impactful journey over the past four years by Tanusree Das, President MMCWS.

During the programme, dedicated volunteers, donors, and supporters were felicitated in recognition of their invaluable contribution to the Society’s mission.

In their addresses, the esteemed guests appreciated the relentless efforts of MMCWS in promoting early detection, patient support, and community awareness. They emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in strengthening healthcare support systems for cancer patients.

The programme also featured cultural performances by Uttaranaya,  recitation by Rituparna Bhattacharjee and a soulful saxophone presentation by Aniket and his band. Best 10 NGO of the state were felicitated for their extraordinary contribution in their respective field, Cancer Awareness Session and introduction of various Cancer Medicines followed by an interaction session with beneficiaries and supporters, creating a heartfelt atmosphere of solidarity, hope, and encouragement.

Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary of MMCWS, Joysankar Bhattacharjee, affirmed their commitment to expanding their outreach and continuing their humanitarian services with renewed dedication.

“These four years reflect not just our journey, but the collective strength of our community. We remain committed to extending our support and spreading awareness to build a cancer-aware and compassionate society.”

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Subhadip Bhattacharjee, MD, MMCWS, marking another milestone in the Society’s journey of compassion and service.
