
AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha underlined his government's commitment to transparent job distribution during the presentation of TFS Grade-One Fishery Officer positions to 52 candidates at Pragya Bhavan here Tuesday. He stated that public welfare is central to all governmental initiatives ensuring that only qualified candidates are employed without the need for recommendations.
Chief Minister acknowledged the past challenges in job accessibility in remote areas due to militancy and inadequate communication but remarked on the improved peaceful atmosphere and significant development efforts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the North-Eastern region. He urged the newly appointed officials to continually enhance their skills and serve the community effectively highlighting the importance of empathy in public service.
Dr Saha noted that the state government has facilitated employment for 20,248 youths across various sectors while aiming for self-reliance, particularly in fisheries. He advocated for Tripura to rise to the top in fish production among North-Eastern states through enhanced strategies such as revitalizing water bodies and promoting scientific fish farming practices.
Fisheries Minister Sudhanshu Das and Secretary of the Fisheries Department Deepa D Nair were also present at the function.
