First: 72nd NEC Plenary Session slated for Agartala
Chief Minister inspected locations in preparations for the event

AGARTALA, December 10, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha Tuesday inspected various locations in Agartala in preparation for the upcoming 72nd Plenary Session of the North East Council (NEC) on December 21.
The first ever session in Tripura will be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah who is scheduled to arrive in the state capital on December 20. The event will be attended by Governors, Chief Ministers, some Union Ministers, and senior officials from the central government.
Dr Saha confirmed that the North Eastern-Space Applications Centre (NE-SAC) meeting will also take place during the NEC conclave. This meeting will focus on discussions about development and projects in the region.
