Defense Ministry's joint secretary visits PM SHRI Schools
REGIONAL: Joint Secretary in Union Ministry of Defense and Central Nodal Officer for PM SHRI Schools Dinesh Kumar visited Nagaland to evaluate PM SHRI Schools including inspections at multiple institutions. He engaged with students and teachers at Chumoukedima promoting the vision of the Prime Minister in accordance with the New Education Policy 2020, asserting the importance of infrastructure improvements including classrooms and facilities.
A coordination meeting was held to discuss the schools' implementation of the PM SHRI Scheme's six pillars and address concerns like declining enrollment and low pass rates, particularly at GHS Burma Camp. State officials were tasked with conducting a diagnostic study to improve performance and developing action plans to enhance educational quality.
Kumar later discussed he visit's outcomes to State Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen.
