AGARTALA, December 25 2022: Biplab Kumar Deb who has been discharging multiple tasks as Member of Rajya Sabha, member of different parliamentary standing committees and BJP Incharge for Haryana is now assigned to boost party’s chances in ensuing assembly elections in Tripura slated for February next.

Deb who was Chief Minister of Tripura for over four years till May this year addressed a number of meetings to highlight successes achieved by the double engine government made through numerous welfare and development schemes.

In one of the meetings he informed that the Chief Secretary of the state was removed to clear long pending promotion of the government employees. “From the decision to hike service age of TSR personnel, the state government has had adopted several positive steps for the employees at large”, Deb said at Haibong Gram Panchayat under Sabroom sub division in south Tripura.

He also joined meetings at Chotkhil and Harina areas which convened to commemorate birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Biplab Kumar Deb said some 5.5 lakh jobs have been created during the current government's tenure through the transparent recruitment policy.  About 3 lakh 70 thousand families have benefited from the PMAY-U and PMAY-R schemes.

On the other, 5.76 lakh families of the state will be benefited as the central government decided to continue with free distribution of rice and other ration materials for another year.
