Winter session: Lok Sabha and Raja Sabha adjourned sine die
Kiren Rijiju later briefed journalists underlining that eight bills passed

NATIONAL, December 19, 2025: Both Houses of Parliament have been adjourned sine die Friday marking the conclusion of a 19-day winter session. The Lok Sabha was first adjourned followed by the Rajya Sabha.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in his valedictory address noted the house's productivity at approximately 111%, with a total of 15 sittings. The Rajya Sabha Chairman said that the Rajya Sabha functioned for about 92 hours achieving 121% productivity and highlighted a special discussion on the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram, which saw participation from 82 members.
Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju later briefed journalists underlining that the eight bills passed during the session would significantly enhance the lives of millions and contribute to India's development.
