To boost trade and investment in the North Eastern Region
MDoNER organises the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025

REGIONAL, December 17, 2025: Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) organised the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025 to boost trade and investment in the North Eastern Region. The summit focused on attracting investments in various sectors, including Tourism and Hospitality, Agro-Food Processing, Textiles, Healthcare, Education, IT/ITeS, Entertainment, Infrastructure and Energy.
Minister of State for MDoNER Dr Sukanta Majumdar informed that the summit, along with pre-event road shows attracted investment interests amounting to ₹4.48 lakh crore through Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and other agreements from a mix of private investors, public sector undertakings, and industrial conglomerates.
This investment is expected to enhance the industrial capacity of the North Eastern Region and create employment opportunities. State Governments are collaborating with investors to actualise these investments through measures like single window clearance, investment promotion agencies, land banks and incentives.
The Government of India is promoting the Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization (UNNATI) Scheme to strengthen the region's industrial ecosystem, offering incentives such as Capital Investment Incentive, Central Capital Interest Subvention Incentive, and Manufacturing & Services Linked Incentive.
