Tripura's government is addressing employment issues
Decision also taken to upgrade the TIT to Tripura Technical University

AGARTALA, November 20, 2025: Tripura's government is addressing employment issues by filling over 400 posts in various departments. Announced by Tourism Minister and cabinet spokesperson Sushanta Chowdhury, the recruitment includes 17 posts in the Cooperation Department, 28 ICDS Supervisor roles in the Social Welfare Department, 14 engineering positions under Urban Development and eight faculty positions at the Tripura Film and Television Institute.
The government will also open 119 new Anganwadi Centres and recruit 119 Helpers and Workers. Besides, 22 Night Guards in the Secondary Education Department will be hired.
Chowdhury opined that these efforts reflect a pro-people approach of the state government. The Minister also took the occasion to inform the other decisions of the government to upgrade TIT (Tripura Institute of Technology) to Tripura Technical University and amend the Journalist Pension Scheme for benefits of the journalists at large.
