NATIONAL, February 15, 2025: Tripura's Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in New Delhi Saturday. This meeting was a crucial step in strengthening central government’s support to the state.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Saha extended an invitation to Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the redeveloped Mata Tripura Sundari Temple at Matabari in Gomati district. This iconic temple is a symbol of the state's rich cultural heritage and the Prime Minister's presence would be a testament to its significance.
Chief Minister Saha also conveyed his warm regards to Prime Minister Modi for the success in Delhi Assembly Elections, the people's budget and his successful trips to France and the USA. The Chief Minister acknowledged the Prime Minister's efforts in promoting India's interests on the global stage.
Chief Minister Saha brought to the Prime Minister's attention various issues related to the development of Tripura, including employment generation for the youth, establishing premier institutions like AIIMS, IIT and IIM in the state to promote education and research, and the need for a national highway from Kamalpur to Santirbazar via Ambassa, Ganda Twisa, Amarpur and Santirbazar.
This meeting was a positive step towards fostering a stronger cooperation between the state and the central government. Prime Minister Modi was receptive to Chief Minister Saha's efforts to promote Tripura's development and cultural heritage.
