Tripura in R-Day tableau rally in New Delhi featuring 26 tableaus

AGARTALA, January 22, 2025: Tripura is set to participate in the Republic Day tableau rally in New Delhi featuring 26 tableaus from various departments and states. These tableaus will serve as a platform for cultural presentations by the central and state governments.

The theme of the tableau is the cultural diversity of India, with a focus on Kharchi Puja and the rituals associated with worshiping 14 royal deities. The tableau will showcase a blend of tradition and modernity, featuring bamboo designs, frames and models in traditional attire.

The 14 deities will be presented through bamboo and cane craft skills, and the tableau will house worship of Ha-Buma (earth mother) and cultural presentation. The esthetics of bamboo and flower-made designs will blend with modern artistic spirit and the priest will perform rituals in traditional attire.

The ancient spirituality of Tripura will also be expressed in the tableau.
