Tripura CM tests negative for Covid-19, but isolates self

AGARTALA, August 04 2020: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tested negative to coronavirus, but he opted to remain in self isolation for a week. He said he will work out of home till he joins office.
Deb’s spouse and another member of his family found positive in Covid-19 tests, but other family members did not contract infection. Infected members are in home quarantine and receiving treatment under supervision of doctors.
Earlier two MLAs, a DM, a SP, a couple of lawyers and scores of policemen were tested positive for coronavirus. Some businessmen here were also found infected Tuesday.
State’s Covid-19 tally on the day soared to 5662 with detection of 141 new cases. State’s current recovery rate of virus patients is about 68 percent.
