Tripura CM expresses sympathy over Assam flood deaths

AGARTALA, June 28 2020: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb expressed his sympathy over loss of loves in devastating floods in Assam. In his twitter handle he wrote: Deeply saddened by the loss of lives in Assam due to sever flood. 

Tripura stands with the people of Assam at this difficult time.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonwal responded in his handle where he wrote “Thank you Biplab ji for your concern and support in a challenging period for Assam”.

Flood situation in Assam turned severe Sunday with more areas getting submerged. An estimated 9.26 lakh people were affected

A total 2,071 villages in 23 of the 33 total districts have been hit by floods.

Deaths due to floods in Assam soared to 20. 27,000 people are sheltered in relief camps.
