Tripura CM discusses state’s development with Prime Minister
He also met Ministers Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda and Amit Shah in New Delhi

AGARTALA, June 27, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi Thursday to discuss the state's development. They discussed various important issues related to the state's growth, including the construction of a new railway link from Belonia to Feni, Indo-Bangladesh connectivity via the Maitri Bridge, the establishment of 15 new Ekalavya Model Residential Schools and International Airport status for the MBB Airport.
Dr Saha expressed his enthusiasm for Modi 3.0 and Tripura's commitment to fulfilling their promise of Viksit Bharat. He also requested a lower price for gas purchases from GAIL and an increase in Central Finance Commission Grants.
Dr Saha also met with Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and requested the transfer of GREF land to the state and the establishment of a Sainik School on Assam Rifles Land.
During his meeting with Health Minister JP Nadda, he requested an AIIMS-like institute and a Medical College at Kulai in Dhalai District, a one-time special grant to continue uninterrupted National Ambulance Services and an extension of the Regional Geriatric Center Project.
Dr Saha also met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and requested the sanctioning of two more IR battalions, the release of funds under Security Related Expenditure and the purchase of items for seizures and sampling storage and disposal of NDPS.
