AGARTALA, June 29, 2024: Agartala Government Dental College & IGM Hospital has introduced the use of modern lasers in surgeries. The hospital successfully completed its first laser surgery on June 28, health officials informed.
This advanced procedure is a significant step in modern management and utilises one of the most advanced surgical instruments available. The use of lasers offers numerous advantages, including reduced blood loss, shorter surgery time and a suture less technique.
Patients also experience less postoperative pain, swelling and faster wound healing. Dentists assert that laser surgery is a safe, effective and comfortable alternative to traditional practices.
The State Government has provided spacious building, modern infrastructure and equipment for the establishment of the Dental College and Hospital last year. It is located in the greater campus of the IGM Hospital.
