Tripura Chief Minister inaugurates all India police soccer tournament
Said event will help foster stronger relationships among police forces

AGARTALA, February 24, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha praised the role of the Tripura Police in social activities and improving the state's law and order. He addressed the inaugural ceremony of the 73rd BN Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2024-25 (Men & Women) at Umakanta Mini Stadium in Agartala Monday.
Dr Saha thanked Tripura DGP Amitabh Ranjan and his team for organising the event, which will help foster stronger relationships among police forces. He underlined that the police's primary role is to protect the public and maintain law and order.
“The Tripura Police is one of the oldest police forces in the country, celebrating 150 years of establishment”, he commented. Dr. Saha also congratulated DGP Amitabh Ranjan and his team for maintaining and improving law and order in the state.
He lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for restoring peace in the northeast. He encouraged people to visit Tripura for sports and also explore tourism opportunities.
