Tribute song dedicated to the frontline warriors

SHILLONG, June 11 2021: Health & Family Welfare Minister AL Hek Friday launched a tribute song titled “Aao Khaye Kasam” composed by the Meghalaya Police which is dedicated to all the frontline warriors in combating the Covid-19 pandemic at a programme held at the Police Headquarters in Shillong.
Speaking on the occasion the Health Minister lauded the police department for coming up with this initiative in order to instil hope among the frontline workers and to bring a sense of encouragement in carrying out their duties. He informed that besides this the police force have been contributing in many ways towards the betterment of the general public and the state.
In order to safeguard and protect ourselves and our fellow citizens from this disease, it is our responsibility to unite and fight together to defeat this invisible enemy, he added.
Hek stated that the only shield against this disease is vaccination and more emphasis is needed on dissemination of the required information and facts to the people and to dispel myths and fears related to the Covid-19 vaccine. Informing this, the Health Minister said that the Information & Public Relations Department is working tirelessly and has been intensifying awareness through various modes of information dissemination throughout the state right from the village level.
