AGARTALA, July 24, 2025: TIPRA Motha leaders continued their stay in New Delhi, meeting government leaders and senior politicians to press the party’s demands, the latest being Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Tripura. They, including TIPRA Founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, yesterday met officials of the election commission to focus on alleged faulty electoral rolls in Tripura.
The party, which is an alliance partner of the ruling BJP in the state, opined that the SIR yielded positive results in the identification of foreign nationals and bogus voters. Similar drive should be undertaken in Tripura as foreign nationals made their entry into electoral rolls, the party delegation told the commission.
The leaders Thursday met BJP national President and Union Minister JP Nadda and discussed the political situation. They also visited the Sansad Bhavan.
