8 more days left with only 1.8% remaining for document submission

NATIONAL, August 24, 2025: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in Bihar has been completed. The draft Electoral Rolls were published on August 1 2025.

The period for submitting Claims, Objections and Documents is from August 1 to September 1. From June 24 to August 24, 98.2% of electors have submitted their documents, with an average of 1.64% per day.

The Election Commission of India commends the efforts of the CEO of Bihar, DEOs of all 38 Districts, 243 EROs, 2,976 AEROs, 90,712 BLOs, lakhs of volunteers and field representatives of all 12 major political parties.

There are still 8 days until September 1 with only 1.8% remaining for document submission. The exercise to collect documents with the help of BLOs and volunteers is ongoing, and work related to document collection is likely to be completed before the deadline.

The SIR of Bihar is on schedule and the decision on all Claims and Objections received and verification of eligibility documents is to be completed by September 25. The Final Electoral Rolls are to be published on September 30.
